Wanda Mae  Neilson
Wanda Mae Neilson, 90, of North Chestnut St, New Paltz, died Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie.

She was born in Lexington, NY on September 26th, 1927, a daughter of the late Ernest and Clara (Bloodgood) Dunham. Wanda is predeceased by former loving husbands, Sidney F. Cleveland and Albert J. Neilson.

She is survived by three sons, Lawrence S. Cleveland, and his wife Eva, of Saugerties, Steve Dunham, and his wife Joan, of Arizona, Thomas Cleveland of Saugerties, and one daughter, Candace Sickles-Binns of Florida.

She received loving care and support from her grandchildren William G. Sickles, Jr, and his fiance Tiana, of Kingston, and Tiffany Anderson, and her husband Kenny, of Hyde Park.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Sherri Dunham-Hamdan of Tuscon, Az, Timothy Dunham, and his wife Shannon, of St. Louis, Missouri, Christopher Dunham of Tuscon, Az, Larry Cleveland Jr. of Marion, NC, Joshua Cleveland of Schenectady, NY, Jason Sickles of Rochester, NY, Jamie Sickles-King of Oaktown, Indiana, and Dylan Sickles of Kingston, and a sister-in-law, Joyce Coon of Arizona, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is also predeceased by several siblings and one great-granddaughter.

The funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 31st, 2018, at the Gilpatric-VanVliet Funeral Home, 339 Broadway, Ulster Park, Town of Esopus, Pastor Bette Sohm will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Saturday, from 12 noon to 3:00 pm. Visitors are encouraged to wear her favorite color purple in celebration of her life.

Cremation will be held privately at Wiltwyck Crematory, Kingston.

In lieu of fresh flowers, the family suggests indoor plants for loved ones to take home and nurture in memory of Wanda.
